The Elizabeth Estate’s Children’s Home was officially opened on the 30th April, 1992.It was originally operated by the government of The Bahamas with the Anglican Diocese partnering shortly after to manage the residential childcare facility. The home was constructed to provide and maintain a safe, alternate living environment for the growing number of children who were unfortunately dispositioned due to various circumstances.
